VR-SC1 Snakecharmer C6 Corvette Ram Air

The VR-SC1, After 1 full year of R and D the all new C-6 Snake charmer ram air induction kit is finally ready for the street. The snake charmer is a heavy development of the original C-5 B2 unit. We used information gathered from 12 special B2 Race units that we constructed for racing only, these units featured many different internal aerodynamic packages and filter combinations, to maximize peak CFM and time to peak manifold pressure. We have emphasized too many customers and racing teams that its not just peak pressure but the time to peak manifold pressure that we look at, this occurs at shift recovery, down in the meat of the power curve.

, which brings in a cooler charged air from beneath the car (outside of the engine bay), which is denser and therefore creates more power. The piping is a lot longer than a short ram which means the power gains are not seen until the mid to higher RPM band. A short ram intake is located inside the engine bay and creates power with better response times than a cold air, however the air is not as dense, which means that it doesnt make as much power in the upper RPM region and makes less power overall. How do you install a cold air intake.   Cold air intakes are a true bolt-on application. The removal of your factory air box and resonator will be needed and the cold air intake installed in its place. Basic hand tools are needed, and the intake installs in minutes.
