For about the same price of a cheap plastic cold-air kit - 1997-03 Corvette owners can now purchase one of our all-new lightweight aluminum systems.  - For maximum performance of your Corvette we recommend adding a throttle body and exhaust system. All kits are dyno tested with results of 10-15 hp improvement over stock. This cold air intake system for the 1997-2004 Corvette C5 can be installed in just minutes and is good for approximately 10-15 horsepower and works excellent with other power adders such as performance exhaust and performance throttle body. Swap the air temp sensor and grommet from stock air duct to the BBK duct then loosely clamp the 3 1/2 I.D. blue hose to the mass-air sensor and the BBK air duct.

Loosely clamp the 4" I.D. blue hose to the air duct and install complete assembly into the vehicle attaching to the throttle body and the two grommets on the radiator support. Align the hoses, clamps etc., before tightening the hose clamps. Reattach wiring to mass-air sensor, air temp. sensor and connect breather tube at the air filter. If equipped with small vacuum fitting between air duct and throttle body simply drill through the blue hose in the gap between the duct and the throttle body using a 1/8" drill bit and press fitting into opening. Reattach neg. (-) battery terminal, start vehicle and let idle to full operating temp. Recheck to ensure everything is tight and secure.
